I cant really be bothered looking for a new job but work is becoming intolerable. They cut my hours as soon as i came back from annual leave which meant a $100+ reduction in my pay per fortnight. They've not been supportive and my manager (whom also happens to be a friend, but i dont know that this will last) told me i was "overreacting", so i told her you can be supportive if you think i am overreacting. This lead to a 2 and a half hour discussion on friday (during my work hours) with my regional and my manager to discuss the situation. As predicted they ganged up on me, and for every complaint i had it was a 'business decision', thats great, but you actually have to communicate that to people when you piss them off. My regional said that there would be hours available for me when i finish my exams and that i can work everyday i want. i havent been approached for any of these shifts and i know the rosters are already being made.

Anyhow. this was meant to be leading into a discussion about how lazy companies are about getting back to you. I applied for a massive department store on the 29th of July, i did some online test on the 3rd of August, and since then hadn't heard anything... until today. They want me to fill out at some work safety assessment. I suprised that its taken them nearly 3 months to get back to me. I will complete it, and await a reply. I also have another job which will close at the end of this week, hopefully i can get an interview.

the raging monster

One of mum's close friends from her old work died of breast cancer 2 weeks ago, mum only found out today. She is gutted, and very upset, she went and spent 6 hours with the husband of her friend today.

But at home, dad is being his usual stubborn asshole self. He was walking in the hall past a photograph and he bumped into it. Now any normal person would just keep walking. He stoped ripped it off the hanger (breaking the wire) and threw it outside in the trailer. This followed with a very nasty fight where he told mum to go stay at her mothers. I have no idea why my father gets in the foul moods, and you just cant reason with him.

life continues. i am complaining so much. hopefully i have better news to report soon. It wasnt like he was not already going, and that he wasnt already buying water. but apparently him taking another 2 waters off the shelf to add to his other bottles would be doing an errand for me, making him my 'errand boy' (which apparently he is not). all this because i dont want to go to the supermarket.

when i go to apologise for things and expect an apology in return, i get nothing. he wont apologise for anything, even if he knows he is wrong and i present the evidence. Everytime i am invited out my first thought is 'what will my man do? will he be lonley? probably... maybe i shouldnt go..."

One of my old highschool party friends (who incidentally has graduated from law recently) has been trying to get me to go out and party with him. I do want to go, i guess i use my fiance as an excuse (a completely valid excuse!) because i fear he might try to hit on me. See.. several years ago he was crazy about me. But he was one of those guys that couldnt understand how a male and a female could have a purely platonic relationship, and thats all i wanted.

I am glad that uni is nearly over for another year. I need a break. The hole has been getting bigger and i am finding it hard to see the light.
